On Wednesday May 1st, Prof. Gardini gave witness before the International Relations Committe of the House of Lords on the Pacific Alliance. The Committe, chaired by Lord Howell of Guildford, discussed with Prof. Gardini a wide range of questions on the Pacific Alliance’s institutional structure, trade policy, level of coordination and its relations with its neighbouring countries as well as with its observer states. The hearing also addressed the UK trade policy in a possible post-Brexit scenario, with Latin America, and the Pacific Alliance in particular, featuring as a possible target region for the UK new foreign policy strategies.
